I know there are a lot of options for POS but the truth is we have already invested in QuickBooks POS. It works for us and our staff is trained.
QuickBooks cannot handle the tax codes we need and I struggle with managing the wine club. Do you know of any Club solution the works with QuickBooks POS?
Thank you,
Maria, Texas

Maria,
Funny you should ask. We just announced this function in the last 30 days.
We searched for other solutions so we could provde a list of options. It is always good to look around to see if anyone else may also provide a QuickBooks POS integtration.
We could only find one solution that integrates with QuickBooks POS and for that matter it also integrates with QuickBooks accounig, SAGE, Business Works, etc.

The club solution is Active Club Management.

YAY!! We have been using the accounting and POS from QuickBooks and everyone else was going to make use "upgrade" but I did not see it as an upgrade to pay thousands of dollars plus training time and costs, etc.
Thank you! Mary Alice

I was told that QuickBooks does not integraste with other applications and that versions change frequently so you are just going to face problems. What about that?

Steve,
Great question. We will always face new releases of QuickBooks POS and for that matter QuickBooks Accounting. We remain current with different versions and will do so as things change.
If you are looking for a technology solution you need to consider if your provider will be able to manage the ever-changing environment beyond QuickBooks. Many things change on a regular basis from operating systems (welcome Vista), browsers, internet gateway providers, UPS, FedEx, Compliance, etc.
Changes like these are constant and is one of the areas in which Active Club Management excels. I have seen this as an issue with sevral other companies and it is why many use 3rd party providers for shipping, email, marketing, etc. We have never nor will ever be a problem for us.
Great question Steve.

Do I have to enter inventory in manually and then deplete the inventory again?

Sean,
No manual entry or double-entry is needed. Active Club Management inerfaces with the inventory. As you add new items to your QuickBooks POS they will flow into your Active Club Management system. Also, as items are sold individually or in batch, the depletions will flow back to your POS.
We are excited about this and hope it helps the companies using QuickBooks POS to keep what they have invested in, know how to use and trust.
