The best way to promote the club and increase the number of club members.
Most companies are extremely limited on financial resources and buying advertising may not be an option. I am often asked “what is the number way to promote a club?”. The good news is that the solution is the most affordable approach.
After spending tens and thousands of dollars on advertising through all different media options the source that consistently resulted in the greatest number of new club membership registrations was direct sales to existing and new customers.
A focused approach works well. Two primary targets are leveraged; previous customers and new customers as they make their purchases.
EXISTING CUSTOMERS: Announcing the club and respective benefits to previous customers is important. Do not underestimate the benefits you can get. Announce the club and continue to mention it in all communications with those customers i.e. sales receipts, newsletters, product labels, business cards, etc.
SALES CALLS: Offering the club program and benefits should be a part of every sales call. When people place an order or stop by your store they should be informed about the club, discounts and other benefits from being a member.
Yes – you can drive results from many places. We have some clubs who do not have a physical location and they generate 100% of their sales through the internet. However, even those companies do newsletters and make sure they announce and promote their clubs to their customers.
Whatever you do, set goals and track the response of each effort. That way you will b able to find the most cost effective methods for your own business.
